Lametrie's Game Tricks:
Tortuga Two Treasures on Windows 10:
Set the game engine ("Tortuga-TwoTreasures.exe") in compatibility mode for Windows 98 / Windows ME.
Now the game should play and you'll see not only the save and menue screens and the compass overlay but altso the real game :-D
If you still have problems, set in the compatibility menue the option "run as administrator" active.
If you don't see anything of the game, then set your screen resolution to 1024 x 768.
This works for me (I actually have my full HD resolution without problems). If you got problems, just mail me and I'll add it here and a solution if you've got one or another!
TimeLine on Windows 10:
First, make a copy of the game CD on your harddisk in a custom install folder.
Then set all of the exe-files in the install folder into compatibility mode for Windows 98 / Windows ME and check the option "run as administrator".
Now install the game, I took the default installations folder.
I did not install DirectX and the game continued to install afterwards.
Find the folder where the game was installed to and set all exe-files again to compatibility mode for Windows 98 / Windows ME and check the option "run as administrator" active.
Now the game should run fine on Win10!
